SCIAC would like to borrow 15 chairs
Cheryl: when will they be returned?
Dalton: not sure
Rick: how many white ones do we have?
Cheryl: need a timeline to avoid them being claimed
Rick: also have Pauwau in Nov.
Dalton: put them on loan until Nov?
Cheryl: it should give them time to get their own
John motioned; Cheryl seconded
Rick: would rather it be cloth ones; plastic is easier for us to move around
John: 15 folding chairs
Are we going to have them sign for the chairs?

Extending water line back, need hydrants, spickets, trencher, cost approx. $390

Bought weed chemicals for around the pond for 3 years ($262.50) and recirculating pump ($40.03)
Fire ant treatment- Mark has the sprayer; we do the labor

July cemetery work days 7/17-18- thanks to Jernigans, Glen & Wayne T, Chief Hatcher, and 2nd Chief Cheryl

Meetings are the day before each open meeting at 6:30pm at the tribal office
Article X ballots in the newsletter; need 104 back
Elder Doug: they aren’t secret ballots
Dalton: they can be folded so that the label part can be cut away from the ballot
Michelle: the only person who will see the label is the person checking the mail; the people who check the mail aren’t the Elders

3 applications for promoter for WIP Bingo- need a decision ASAP
John: how can Susan be the promoter at both if at a site 90% of time?
Dalton: believe you can promote up to 3; it’s like general manager position- you can have assistants
Reminder to Elders & Council: ballots are out; count after 9/1
John: interview date for promoter?
Dalton: Tues? have them all here on the same day
Rick: are we going to do more than one?

Rick: we don’t know how much we’re going to pay them or anything. I’d be skeptical to apply to a place that can’t tell me about their business
Michelle: Chief Hatcher proposed $500-600/ week
Dalton: need to discuss it with him by email since he knows more about it
Procedures for signing the tribal roll book while living out-of-state (across country)
Form letter stating they signed TRB in absentia
Give a deadline to send it back
Mark: letting them sign in absentia defeats the purpose of getting more people involved
John: can we get a statement from the member explaining why they can’t come sign the roll book?
Homer motioned to close the meeting; Dalton seconded.
