    Fall Equinox

    The Fall Equinox celebration has been scheduled for Saturday October 7th at the Waccamaw Tribal Grounds. A sunrise ceremony, a noon ceremony and a closing ceremony will be observed.     Tribal Open Meeting Summary 9/01/2017 held at the Tribal Office in Aynor, SC CM’s John, Mark, Dalton, Susan, and CoC Rick present. 2C Cheryl arrived at 8pm. Jeania Kidder was sworn into Tribal Council by CoC Rick Financial Report General Fund: $8796.48 Building Fund: $1286.27 Mark: thought the building fund account was supposed to be closed since the committee dissolved?     It is with a deep sadness that I tell of another Waccamaw Elder that passed yesterday, Elder Charles Creech. He was a strong supporter of the tribe and was a big part of school day. He was part of the snares and traps area and went as far and made animals to be used in the demonstrations. You could always go to Elder Charles if you needed advise for anything.
